Ingredients (4 people) ♥♥♥

  • 1 cup of dried kidney beans (pre-soaked for at least 8 hours)
  • 4 large potatoes
  • 1 cup + 1/2 cup (480 millilitre) coconut milk (homemade)*
  • 1 ts allspice or 3 Jamaican pepper berries (grind up)*
  • 1 ts cumin powder
  • 1 ts black pepper

Ingredients (4 people) ♥♥

  • 2 plantains (half ripe)*
  • 2 carrots
  • 2 leeks
  • 2 – 3 gloves of garlic
  • 1 big yellow yam
  • 2 medium onions
  • 2 medium tomatoes
  • 1 cup + 1/3 cup (340 millilitre) coconut milk
  • 2 cups (500 millilitre) water
  • 1 can (425 gram) pigeon peas
  • 5 okra’s*
  • 1-2 ts black pepper
  • 1 ts ginger*
  • 1 Scotch bonnet pepper*
  • 5 Jamaican pepper berries* or 2 ts allspice
  • 1 tbs dried thyme or a few fresh thyme branches
  • 1 ts onion powder
